Hello, my name is Nino Carvalho, and I would like to share a bit about my journey in agriculture and my business, NC Ag Spraying. I launched this venture in 1999 while I was a student at Cal Poly University, San Luis Obispo. With a strong desire to make a difference in the agricultural sector, I focused my studies on Dairy Science and Agricultural Business, earning my Bachelor of Science degree.
After graduating, I returned to Tranquillity, California, to pursue my passion for farming, which I officially began in 2001. I have since built and maintained my custom application business, offering precise spraying services that cater to the unique needs of local farmers. My dedication to this field is underscored by my professional licenses, which include the Qualified Applicator License (QAL), Agricultural Pest Control (APC), and Pest Control Advisor (PCA).
Agriculture is not just my profession; it’s a family legacy. My daughter, Madison, strengthened that legacy by graduating from Cal Poly in 2021. She now lives in Fresno and works as a licensed PCA for a prominent grower in the Valley. My son, Emilio, is currently studying at Fresno State, pursuing a degree in Agricultural Business with a minor in Plant Science. He has also become a licensed drone pilot (APC) and holds his QAL. Emilio’s ambition is to obtain his PCA license and return to join me in the family business, continuing our commitment to serving the agricultural community in our region. Together, we are dedicated to contributing to the vibrant agricultural landscape of the Central Valley.
